Aussiedoodles are a very intelligent, lovable, and energetic breed. From the Aussiedoodle’s viewpoint, the presence of children in the home is a major bonus, as this is a very playful and affectionate hybrid that lives for cuddles and games.

We are a husband and wife team, that has a passion for dogs, which led us to create Hills Barkery.
Hills Barkery is an umbrella for our small, home based dog breeder program in which we breed the Mini AussieDoodle. Our program focuses to improve the breed, with a strong emphasis on temperament, intelligence, and a healthy, holistic dog.
We have over 10 years combined experience of breeding healthy dogs. We started our breeding program because we specifically wanted to enhance the AussieDoodle breed by increasing genetic diversity in a breed and decrease genetic issues or abnormalities inherited, as well as attention to temperament, health and socialization.
We have placed particular emphasis on improving the following personality characteristics:
- Socialization
- Intelligence
- Calmness
- Playful Disposition
Our dogs, Cosmo & Blubell are health, genetically tested and also obtained the recommended OFA screenings before breeding to decrease the likelihood of inherited genetic abnormalities. Therefore, when you hear the word breeder, you should not automatically assume that all breeders are backyard, or breeding for their livelihood. In our case, we carefully plan our breedings once yearly, and our puppies are home raised, until they’re 8 weeks of age or ready to go into the arms of their new loving pawrents.
Best Homes
We place great importance on the placement of our litter in good homes, and take many factors into account when deciding on the best homes. The welfare of our litters always comes first and we do our best to prepare the selected family for the new addition.
Health Certified
All of our babies have age appropriate shots, dewormed and come with a one year genetic health guarantee. They are veterinarian checked before leaving us to insure their health.
Litter Box
Our puppies are guaranteed to be healthy, free of any genetic abnormality. Our litters are litter boxed, doggy doorbell, pee pad and grass trained.
All of our puppies are cared for in our home for 24 hours a day, and they are video monitored to correct any behavioral issues early on. At the early age of 3 days each puppy goes through a regimen of trainings. You may not have heard of ENS or ESI, but we agree with experts that these exercises are important for a healthier, better dog. That is why we make sure that each of our puppies from 3-16 days old practice these exercises. Day 3-16 is believed to be a time of rapid neurological growth & development.which includes early scent introduction (ESI), which is called Early scent introduction (ESI). It is a is a training program for puppies designed to enhance their ability to identify, and react to, specific scent. It was developed by the US military and ENS is believed by some experts to enhance the natural abilities of dogs. It involves subjecting pups aged 3-16 days to 5 forms of stimulation that lead to “stress.” It is said to benefit puppy development in 5 ways:
- Improved heart rate
- Stronger heartbeats
- Stronger adrenal glands
- Better tolerance to stress
- Greater resistance to disease
If you are wondering what type of exercises are used, it is quite simple:
Tactical stimulation-stimulate the bottom of the paw pads with a cotton swab
- Hold puppy’s head up for 3-5 seconds
- Hold puppy’s head gently down for 3-5 seconds
- Hold puppy on his back for 3-5 seconds
- Put puppy’s belly down on a cool towel for 3-5 seconds
That way by the time our pups are sent to their new homes, they are already well on their way to being fully trained.
About the breed
Our Parents
The parents of our puppies are screened for everything prior to breeding including DNA, hip and elbow dysplasia, patellas, cardiac, and eyes. It doesn’t stop there, as our puppies are handled regularly, introduced to a wide variety of things and experiences, and started with Early Neurological Stimulation at just 3 days old.
We highly enjoy our Sire named Cosmo, whom is a Miniature Poodle, and our Dam named, Blubell as they are great dogs with excellent temperaments, and are genetically tested clear.
My puppies are from non working lines, so you don’t get the high strung nippy, yappy pups. Our lives revolves around their care and training. Ens training, puppy culture training, sound desensitizing, socialization with kids, people, other animals, litter box training which teaches them to be clean puppies, crate training started.
